#Fatal Injury

The remains of a man discovered Oct. 18 on a property on Tiki Lane were those of 56-year-old Wayne Richard Moriarty, also known as Arthur Hackett, of Ocean View. A forensic pathologist determined Moriarty’s death was caused by a gunshot wound and ruled it a homicide.

The incident occurred on Friday, where the Hawai’i Police Department and Hawai’i County Fire Department responded to a report of a BB gun injury on Oshiro Road in Mountain View. It was determined that injury was caused by an actual gun.
