Kilauea Summit Update – 7/24/15

Kilauea’s summit began to inflate on Thursday after showing deflation for most of the week. Hawaiian Volcano Observatory reports that the change is part of the current DI event.

Tiltmeters at the summit of Kilauea began to record rapid deflation Tuesday morning. The activity did not change the Overlook crater lava lake.
