Coast Guard Captain of the Port opened all commercial ports in the Hawaiian Islands and cargo operations have resumed today, Monday, July 25.

The Coast Guard is responding to the grounding of the Spirit of Kona on Hawai’i Island today.

Hawai‘i Electric Light has been responding to outages due to high winds from Tropical Storm Darby.

The 5 a.m. forecast track takes Darby to Hawai‘i Island in 12 hours.

DLNR’s Division of Boating & Ocean Recreation doesn’t plan to close state small boat harbors, but advises boaters to monitor VHF radio for Coast Guard alerts.
