County unveils plans to repair Waipiʻo Valley Road and make it safe from rockfalls

Trimming and maintenance of Waipiʻo Valley Road will being in November, followed by a major three-phase repair and mitigation project to begin in Spring 2023.

Hawaiʻi County said: “The current condition poses substantial endangerment to public health and safety and warrants preemptive and protective action in order to provide for the health, safety, and welfare of the people using the road.”
