New artificial intelligence degree debuts later this year at University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo

The new degree and its courses reflect the College of Business and Economics response to workforce demand for artificial intelligence and analytics skills, and University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo’s broader commitment to interdisciplinary education and responsible artificial intelligence development.

Registration now open for 10th annual Amelia Earhart Girls in Engineering Day

Registration is available for the first 40 middle school girls from Hawai‘i Island to attend the free full-day program at Waiākea High School in Hilo that encourages fourth- to eighth-grade girls in science, technology, engineering and mathematics curriculum and fields.

Educator externship held to advance creative technical skills for Hawai‘i teachers, enhance student workforce readiness

The event was a result of the Creative Industries Sector Partnership’s Career Awareness initiative, a workforce development collaboration between employers and educators.
