Shania Tamagyongfal, who earned her undergraduate degree in anthropology and master’s in heritage management at University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo, said the support she received through the Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation program helped connect her cultural identity to her scientific research, giving her the confidence to lead, collaborate and pursue work that matters to her community.
