Benjamin Moskowicz is Hawaiʻi County’s new chief of police, which is luna mākaʻi in Hawaiian.

Of the four finalists for Hawaiʻi County police chief, Benjami Moszkowicz, a 22-year veteran with the rank of major at Honolulu Police Department, was the only person with no law enforcement experience on the Big Island.
