Flash Flood Warning still posted, numerous alerts posted for Hawai’i County, heavy rain and thunderstorms, strong winds continue to impact the Big Island.

BREAKING: Flash Flood Warning, Wind Advisory for Hawai’i County

Hawai’i County Civil Defense reported road closures due to flash flooding near Kawa Flats between 57 and 58 miles markers of the Mamalahoa Highway.

2 A.M. UPDATE: Tropical Storm Watch Cancelled

While the Tropical Storm Watch was cancelled, a flood advisory remains in effect for the Big Island until 4:30 a.m.

8 P.M. UPDATE: Impact Update on Hurricane Ana

No changes have been made to the alerts that are posted. The intensity has not changed since the last update but the track has been nudged farther west.

2 P.M. UPDATE: Ana Strengthens, But Forecast Remains Unchanged

Gusts up to 40 miles per hour and waves reaching 15 feet have already been felt at South Point.
