UH Hilo is one of 17 public universities around the country that was chosen for the inaugural Rural Student Success Network.

Both educators will bring research-based strategies back to Hilo, ensuring University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo graduates are equipped for career readiness and economic empowerment.

The professors will be part of the Stewardship of Public Lands program, which aims to foster innovative regional collaborations, responsible stewardship practices, and experiential learning by bringing a variety of higher education practitioners together.
