2 Big Island attorneys, businessman found guilty in affordable housing credits scam
At trial, the evidence showed that the attorneys and a private businessman paid bribes and kickbacks to a housing specialist for the Hawai‘i County Office of Housing and Community Development, in exchange for the county employee using his position to ensure the county approved three affordable housing agreements benefitting the defendants’ development companies.
