Land transfers continue in state effort to protect Hawai‘i’s agriculture, natural resources
A total of 24,200 thousand acres of agricultural lands have been approved and transferred thus far. In October of last year, the Hawai‘i Board of Agriculture accepted 99 more parcels on the list, encompassing 21,672 acres, which still requires the review and approval of the Hawai‘i Board of Land and Natural Resources.
Act 90 land-transfer partnership continues between state agencies
In the 20 years since its enactment, more than 250 leases, revocable permits, and vacant parcels representing more than 38,000 acres of crop and pasture lands have been transferred to the Department of Agriculture and the Agribusiness Development Corporation.
