Update: Winds finally calm down atop Big Island summits

All wind warnings and advisories canceled for summit areas of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa as winds lower below advisory thresholds.

Big Island summits under wind advisory until noon today

The National Weather Service in Honolulu says west winds of 30 to 45 mph can be expected atop Maunakea and Mauna Loa, with gusts of about 55 mph.
