Celebrate World Bee Day and Help Save Our Pollinators
[Hilo, Hawaii] - Bird and Bee Animal Sanctuary is proud to announce our upcoming World Bee Day event on May 17th, 2025, to raise awareness of the importance of bees and other pollinators for our ecosystem, food security, and livelihoods.
This year's event will be held at Mokupāpapa Discovery Center from 10am -3pm May 17th, 2024. It will include various activities for all ages, including honey tasting, beekeeping demonstrations, vendors, and interactive exhibits on the fascinating world of bees. We will also have local beekeepers and experts on hand to answer questions and offer advice on how to support and protect bee populations.
With over 75% of global food crops depending on pollinators, such as bees, for their production, raising awareness of the threats facing bee populations worldwide is more critical than ever. Habitat loss, climate change, pesticides, and disease have all led to declines in bee populations, putting our food systems and ecosystems at risk.
By attending our World Bee Day event, you'll have the opportunity to learn about the vital role bees play in our world and what you can do to help protect them. Whether you're a bee enthusiast, a nature lover, or just curious, this event is the perfect way to get involved and make a difference.
Don't miss this exciting opportunity to celebrate World Bee Day and help save our pollinators. For more information, please visit our website at www.birdandbeehawaii.com.
