The 13th Annual Big Island Jazz and Blues Festival May 16 weekend!

Join us for a spectacular musical experience at the 13th annual Big Island Jazz and Blues Festival, taking place on May 16 at the breathtaking oceanfront Mauna Kea Beach Hotel. This year’s festival promises an unforgettable lineup featuring Grammy award-winning legends in jazz, blues, Tejano, Cajun, and zydeco music.

Headlining the event is Grammy winner trumpet virtuoso Eddie Henderson, renowned for his incredible journey from playing alongside Louis Armstrong to touring with iconic artists such as Herbie Hancock. His masterful performances are not to be missed.

We are also excited to present Paul Wertico, a seven-time Grammy-winning drummer celebrated as one of the world’s finest. With an impressive history of collaborations with music legends like Pat Metheny and David Bowie, Wertico's drumming artistry will elevate the festival experience.

The lineup includes the extraordinary John Patitucci, a four-time Grammy winner and one of the foremost bass players in the world. Accompanying him will be Grammy Nominated saxophonist Javon Jackson, a celebrated member of the Jazz Messengers who has toured with Freddy Hubbard, Les McCann, Ron Carter & Hundreds more and renowned guitarist virtuoso Fareed Haque, who has toured the globe with artists like Sting.

Adding to the rich musical tapestry are Chicago's queen of the blues, Award Winning guitarist JoAnna Connor, along with Grammy winner Zydeco legends; Wilson Savoy and Cajun ambassador Jordan Thibodeau, bringing authentic Cajun zydeco sounds to the islands.

Along with New Orleans Favorite Band direct from the New Orleans JazzFEST; The IGUANAS!

In addition to these international stars, the festival will showcase local musicians, including Larry, Dupio, John, Keawe, Russell Lundgren, Aaron Loeser and many more, blending local talent with our exceptional headliners.
