Slow Comedy: A workshop that focuses on slow comedy, finding the funny in the every day, tune into to what is right in front of you, and learn how each thing your scene partner does and says, is a veritable gift. Scene work will focus on monoscene long form format, and slow and intensive listening to create comedic resonance. Available for students 16+ with previous improv training.
Instructor: Amy Hellman is the resident acting instructor at Prince Dance Institute. She has been playing and performing improv comedy, physical comedy, and clowning world-wide for over 25 years. She has directed improv groups across the globe, and has improvisational comedy training from the Magnet Improv theater in NYC as well as Commedia dell’arte training from Stanley Allen Sherman.
