Death and Taxes Swing Band - Unavoidably Swinging!

The Death and Taxes Swing Band will be presenting a Swing Dance at the Hilo Elks Lodge on Sept 19 at 7 pm

Traveling all the way from San Francisco, the Death and Taxes Swing Band form was created out of a love of live swing music. The group features seasoned professionals, overly enthusiastic young guns and a whole lot of energy. At the Hilo Elks Club they will perform a wide ranging selection of dance music from 40’s standards to 90’s swing revival hits. 

The group is led by Rebecca Roudman. Fronted by her sultry vocals and swinging string playing, she is backed up by a rhythm section that focuses on a danceable groove. 

At the Hilo Elks Club show the Death and Taxes Swing Band will blast their way through songs that invite East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop and Jive dancing. There will be a short, beginner dance lesson immediately preceding the dance. Tickets are available at the door for $20.
