County Council accepts $13M federal grant for repairs at former Hilo Memorial Hospital

Police identify Nā‘ālehu woman killed in November 2023 crash near Manuka State Park
Big Island police investigators determined Salvatore was driving a silver 2011 Mazda CX-9, traveling south on Māmalahoa Highway near the 84-mile marker in the early morning of Nov. 12, when she ran off the right shoulder and went down a 20-foot embankment. The vehicle then rolled over and caught fire.
