The U.S. Postal Service reports the following Hurricane Lane-related adjustments to its operations for Saturday, Aug. 25:
6 PM: Hawai‘i County Civil Defense Report
Due to the slowing of the tropical storm, dangerous heavy rains and flooding may persist for several days on the windward side of Hawai‘i Island.
Lane Downgraded to Tropical Storm; More Flooding in Store
Lane is now a Tropical Storm, with maximum sustained winds of 70 mph.
