Abandoned Pāhoa Home Destroyed in Fire
Arrived at the scene at 1:23 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29, to find an abandoned home on Nanawale Boulevard in Pāhoa fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters extinguished the blaze by 2 p.m. and turned the scene over to the fire inspector for investigation. Damage to the single-wall, 1,300-square-foot structure are estimated at $130,000.
