Marketing Conference for Nursery Industries Oct. 19-21
The fourth annual Tropical Trends conference for the floriculture and nursery industry will be held October 19 – 21 at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel. The conference will also be held in partnership with the fourth annual horticultural industry Crop Production Services seminar.
The three-day conference is being sponsored by the Hawaii Tropical Flower Council, Crop Protection Services, and the Hawaii Floriculture and Nursery Association.
The conference, which is open to the general public, will focus on marketing and building a branded market strategy.
The first day of the conference, October 19, will feature a Crop Production Services seminar for the horticultural industry from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Speakers will give talks on plant diseases, plant nutrition, and new chemistries and technologies.
The seminar will also feature vendor and manufacturing displays, as well as a pupu hour at the end of the day for participants to network and talk to the speakers.
The HFNA conference, which will be held October 20 and 21, will feature a range of speakers from horticulturalists to Hawaiian Airlines representatives.
Conference topics include identifying new market opportunities, trends in orchid production, and developing a marketing plan and brand identity.
The last day of the conference will feature a tropical trends design competition.
