The Perfect Pairing: Java and Desserts

For some, the day just isn’t the same without that morning cup of coffee.

Whether the coffee is made with a French press, drip style, or is lovingly prepared in an espresso machine at a boutique place a little out of the way, this little bean has become a necessary part of any day.

On Saturday, coffeeholics will get to revel in a day of coffee and desserts at the Hualalai Four Seasons Resort from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Twenty-one Kona coffee growers will sample their brews while amateurs and chefs from local restaurants and resorts offer sweets made with Kona coffee.

Event attendees will also vote on their favorite liquid gold grower as a panel of chefs rate the brews. Desserts will also be judged.

Live local music, arts and demonstrations will take place throughout the event. Admission is free.
