Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announces the following lane closures — planned for weekdays, unless otherwise noted — through Aug. 7 on several Big Island roadways.

HIGHWAY 11
HILO TO VOLCANO
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 0.0 and 36 in the vicinity of Banyan Drive, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for removal of existing striping and installation of new striping and pavement markers.
VOLCANO
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 28 and 30 in the vicinity of Hawaiʻi National Park, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for Hawaiian Electric to remove old poles and conductors.
KĪPĀHOEHOE
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between milepost 91 to 93, on Monday, August 3 to Friday, August 7 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for cutting vegetation.
KEALAKEKUA
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 113 and 114 in the vicinity of Trousseau Road and West Honalo Place, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for cutting vegetation.
CAPTAIN COOK TO HŌLUALOA
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 109 and 119 in the vicinity of Koa Road and Queen Kaʻahumanu Highway, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for removal of existing striping and applying new striping and pavement markers.
HIGHWAY 19
NĪNOLE
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 17.9 and 18.2 in the vicinity of Government Main Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for work on Nanue Stream Bridge.
ʻŌʻŌKALA
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 29.2 and 32 in the vicinity of Old Māmalahoa Highway, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for work on Kāholo Stream Bridge.
PAʻAUILO
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 36 and 39 in the vicinity of Government Road and Māmalahoa Highway, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for shoulder work.
HIGHWAY 130
KEAʻAU TO PĀHOA
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 0.0 and 21.8 in the vicinity of Māmalahoa Highway and Kaimū-Chain of Craters Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for removal of existing striping and applying new striping and pavement markers.
HIGHWAY 190
KALAʻOA
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 33 and 35 in the vicinity of Old Government Road and ʻOnaona Drive, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for mulching vegetation.
HIGHWAY 200
UPPER WAIĀKEA
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 5.1 and 13.9, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 1-7 for emergency safety improvements.
PŌHAKULOA
SHOULDER CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 32 and 33 in the vicinity of Puʻuahi Road, on from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for clearing the fence line.
HIGHWAY 270
HĀWĪ
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 17 and 19 in the vicinity of Hōʻea Road and Coast Guard Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for mulching vegetation and trees.
