Hawaiʻi Police Department is hosting a school supply drop box at Hilo Police Station, located at 349 Kapiʻolani St., in Hilo as part of the effort. Community members are encouraged to donate new school supplies for East Hawaiʻi Keiki and can do so now.

Accepted donations include:

  • Pencils, pens and crayons.
  • Composition books.
  • Folders and binders.
  • Backpacks.
  • Scissors, glue sticks and rulers.
  • Any additional school supplies.

The drop box will be available through July 18.

Officers from the Hilo and Puna Community Policing Sections will be on-site at the Stuff Da Bus event, providing Keiki ID cards and meeting with students in attendance.

The Neighborhood Place of Puna’s Stuff Da Bus brings together community organizations, volunteers and donors to collect school supplies for students across East Hawaiʻi.

Contact Officer Shane Hanley via email at shane.hanley@hawaiipolice.gov for additional information about the school supply drop box or the Stuff Da Bus event.
