Botanical World Adventures — Hawaiʻi’s Big Island premier adventure destination and USA Today’s 2025 No. 1 Aerial Adventure Park — announces the launch of two exciting new adventures: The Rappel and The Dip.

Both tours offer guests unparalleled access to the breathtaking Puʻuwai o Kamaeʻe Falls and lush Hana Pūʻeo stream canyon — a natural treasure accessible only through Botanical World Adventures.

Set on the grounds of the stunning botanical gardens at Old Māmalahoa Highway in Hakalau, these new tours complement Botanical World Adventures beloved zipline, Segway and garden experiences, giving visitors even more ways to connect with Hawaiʻi’s awe-inspiring natural landscape.

Designed for adventurers ages 10 and older, The Rappel is a one-of-a-kind waterfall adventure that takes guests on an up-to-4-hour guided hike experience that takes guests through combinations of four distinct rappels with increasing challenge and drama, culminating in a breathtaking descent directly alongside — and into the mist of — the iconic Kamaeʻe Falls.

The adventure concludes with a Via Ferrata traverse across the canyon wall to “The Beach” at the outlet of the plunge pool, where guests can swim and relax before the short walk back.

All gear is included, as are complimentary digital photos of the experience.

The Dip is a refreshing waterfall adventure escape for the entire family.

For those seeking a more relaxed yet equally memorable encounter with Hawaiʻi’s natural wonders, Botanical World Adventures introduces this 1-hour guided tour that takes guests on an easy hike through the lush botanical gardens and into the canyon, ending at the base of the picturesque upper Hana Pūʻeo waterfall — a hidden gem accessible exclusively through Botanical World Adventures.

Guests will enjoy the refreshing waterfall mist, take in the stunning scenery and hear the fascinating stories behind the falls as shared by knowledgeable Botanical World Adventures guides.

All that’s needed are water shoes, a towel and a spirit of adventure.

The tour is ideal for families, couples and anyone wanting to experience Hawaiʻi’s waterfalls up close without the intensity of rappelling.

“We have always believed that the best way to experience Hawaii is to truly get into it — its canyons, its waterfalls, its wild beauty. These two new tours let guests do exactly that, whether they’re seeking the ultimate adrenaline rush or a serene moment in the mist,” said Botanical World Adventures Managing Partner Mark Robinson in a release about the new adventures. “There is nothing else like this on the Big Island.”
