UPDATE: Authorities locate missing 13-year-old girl in good health

UPDATE: May 12, 8:24 p.m. | Hawaiʻi police said the 13-year-old girl reported missing earlier Tuesday in Keaau has been found safe.
Authorities issued an endangered missing child alert after Vasconcellos was reported missing near Keaau-Pahoa Road.
Original Post: Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 13-year-old girl who was last seen Tuesday afternoon in Keaau.
The Hawai’i Police Department identified the child as Carisea Vasconcellos, who was reported missing after she was last seen around 2:15 p.m. near the 16-500 block of Keaau-Pahoa Road.
Police described Vasconcellos as 5 feet tall, weighing about 100 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black shirt, white tennis shoes, and carrying a black-and-gold backpack.
Authorities added that Vasconcellos was initially reported as a runaway; however, due to her age, she is considered endangered.
