Mango Medical hosts free Health Career Exploration Seminar 2026 in Waimea
Waimea-based primary care practice Mango Medical invites students to Health Career Exploration Seminar 2026 this weekend.

The free interactive, small-group event is slated for 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 18, at the Waimea clinic.
It is designed for high school students in grades 10 to 12 and early college students interested in pursuing careers in health care.
Mango Medical is more than just a medical clinic. It is deeply committed to advancing community health through education and outreach.
This seminar reflects that mission by providing students with hands-on experiences and direct access to healthcare professionals throughout multiple disciplines.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage with local specialists, including emergency medicine physician Dr. Gregory Calkins, optometrist Dr. Janet Mitchell, physical therapist Melissa Chaudoin and nurse practitioner Joshua Lessard-Chaudoin.
The program includes a health careers overview, small-group rotations with each provider, interactive activities and a question-and-answer panel discussion.
“You cannot be what you cannot see,” said Lessard-Chaudoin in an announcement about the upcoming seminar. “Our goal is to give students meaningful exposure to healthcare careers, connect them with mentors and help guide their future pathways in medicine and wellness.”
Space is limited to ensure a personalized experience, so interested students are encouraged to register now by emailing contact@mangomed.org.
Mango Medical’s Waimea clinic is located in Suite 306 at 64-1032 Māmalahoa Highway.
