Hawai‘i Island police seek help identifying suspects in Kona convenience store theft

Hawai‘i Island police are seeking two men involved in a theft that occurred at a Kailua-Kona convenience store in February.

The incident took place on Feb. 24 at 4:29 p.m. on the 75-5600 block of Kuakini Highway. According to Hawai‘i Island police, a Caucasian man in his 20s entered the store and removed four heavy-duty titanium USB cables and one pair of sunglasses without permission.

A local man in his 20s was in the store with the first suspect at the time of the theft, police say.

Surveillance footage showed the Caucasian man shirtless and wearing black pants. The second man was seen wearing a black sweater and black pants. Surveillance footage of the second suspect was not captured.
