Parker School senior recognized for positive impact, named as a 2026 Coca-Cola Scholar
Parker School senior Oscar Amos is one of 150 students nationwide who have been selected in one of the nation’s most competitive merit-based scholarship programs.
Every year, the Coca-Cola Scholars Program recognizes exceptional high school seniors for their leadership, service, academic excellence, and commitment to making a positive impact in their communities.
Through this program, the Coca-Cola Foundation fulfills its mission to “bring better to the world” by investing in the next generation of leaders.
Throughout the rigorous selection process, Amos distinguished himself as a Coca-Cola Scholar through his strong academic record, meaningful service, and demonstrated leadership within the Parker community and beyond.
“Oscar’s selection as a Coca-Cola Scholar is a tremendous achievement and a testament to his character, dedication, and leadership,” said Stephen Dunn, Parker head of school. “He embodies what it means to be a Parker student, striving to make a difference beyond our campus.”
Amos was selected from a pool of more than 100,000 applicants nationwide. The process began with a comprehensive online application highlighting academic performance, leadership roles, extracurricular involvement, and community service.
A select group then advanced to the next phase that required additional submissions of materials such as essays, transcripts, and recommendations. Finalists then participated in interviews with foundation representatives before the top 150 scholars were chosen nationwide.
This year, just 0.14% of all applicants were selected as Coca-Cola Scholars. They will be joining a national network of scholars dedicated to leadership, service, and lifelong learning.
“I am infinitely grateful to the Coke Scholars Program for helping me gain access to the absolute privilege of a higher education,” Amos said. “More than anything, this award recognizes the countless people who’ve guided me to this point.”
As a recipient of this honor, Amos will receive a $20,000 college scholarship that he will use toward his education at the University of Pennsylvania, where he is attending in the fall to study political science.
“We are incredibly proud of Oscar and all that he has accomplished,” Dunn said. “His achievement reflects not only his own hard work, but also his dedication to growth and community support.”
