Home, healthcare exhibitions scheduled for West Hawaiʻi this month
The public is invited to attend two different exhibitions (expos) in Kailua-Kona this month.
2026 Home Expo Hawaiʻi
The Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce is hosting the first expo – the 21st annual Home Expo Hawaiʻi – at the Outrigger Kona Resort and Spa Kaleiopapa Convention Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 14, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, March 15.
The event will feature more than 20 local exhibitors with products and services to remodel, redecorate, and elevate any living space.
“Our organization is committed to providing opportunities that promote local resources and support our community,” said Wendy Laros, Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce president and CEO.
The event, including parking, is free on both days and will feature prize giveaways, including a chance to win a free night’s stay at the Outrigger Kona Resort and Spa.

Kona Healthcare Career Expo
Hawai’i Island Community Health Center is hosting the next expo – the 2nd annual Healthcare Career Expo – at the Kealakehe High School gym from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25.
Students and local residents will have the opportunity to explore careers with purpose, including medical roles, support staff positions, and administrative positions, with some of Hawaiʻi Island’s leading healthcare organizations.
The expo will feature over 30 local employers looking to connect with people who will power the next chapter of community care. actively recruiting from entry level to licensed professionals with roles that have a big impact that also include on-the-job training, competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
Although the event helps address growing healthcare staff shortages, the initiative is also part of a larger effort to ensure that Hawaiʻi Island continues to provide high-quality care to residents by building a strong, sustainable healthcare workforce.
“This is more than a hiring event,” said Hawai’i Island Community Health Center CEO, Richard Taaffe. “It’s a coordinated effort to build a thriving healthcare system for our island community. As we face a growing demand for healthcare services on Hawaiʻi Island, it’s crucial that we continue to grow and support our healthcare workforce.”
Attendees will have the chance to speak directly with recruiters, ask questions about job openings, and learn about career development opportunities within the healthcare sector. Some employers present will include:
