Hawai‘i County Parks and Rec seeks summer pool lifeguard applicants

Hawai‘i County Parks and Rec is now accepting applications for summer lifeguard positions at county pools.

Pay for the temporary lifeguards, who are hired annually to support the expansion of swimming lesson programs during the summer, is $20 per hour.

Applicants must commit to working from May 21-Aug. 10, including evenings and weekends, as applicable. Schedules vary by facility.

Deadline to apply is March 31.

Applicants must be 18 years old by the deadline. Additional job requirements include a current lifeguarding certification and successful completion of a swimming and skills test.
