Original post: A 70-year-old man has been arrested for the murder of a 64-year-old man, who was run over by a white van earlier this month in Hilo, Hawaiʻi Island police said.

At 7:38 a.m. on Nov. 1, police responded to a disturbance call in a parking lot on Kamehameha Avenue and discovered a man who was run over by a vehicle, according to witnesses.

The witnesses told police that the driver of the vehicle, later identified as Robert Bradshaw, who has no permanent address in Hilo, arrived in the parking lot in a large white van and approached the victim while holding a knife.

After being medically cleared, he was transported to the East Hawai‘i Detention Facility, where he remains in custody. His vehicle was recovered as evidence and towed to the Hilo Police Station pending a search warrant.
