Deadline nears for Novice Girls Division of Jr. WNBA basketball league; register today

Hawaiʻi County Department of Parks and Recreation reminds the public about upcoming deadlines for participation in the East Hawaiʻi Novice Girls Division of the Jr. WNBA basketball league.

Registration is open until Oct. 29. Interested players are encouraged to sign up.

The Novice Girls Division — with an elementary age group for girls in grades 3 to 5 and an intermediate age group for girls in grades 6 to 8 — has a play season that runs Dec. 1 through Feb. 26, 2026.

A mandatory meeting for coaches and team representatives is scheduled at 5 p.m. Oct. 22 at Aunty Sally Kaleohano’s Lūʻau Hale, located at 799 Pi‘ilani Street, in Hilo.
