Waimea man arraigned on child pornography charges
A 23-year-old Waimea man was arraigned last week on child pornography charges connected with an investigation initiated in another jurisdiction.

Hawai‘i County prosecutor’s office reports that Aceson Domingo appeared Oct. 10 in Hilo Circuit Court for his arraignment on the FOLLOWING CHARGES:
- 1 count of first-degree promoting child abuse.
- 1 count of third-degree promoting child abuse.
- 1 count of promoting pornography for minors.
Domingo was charged Oct. 6 by indictment. The investigation was referred to Hawai‘i Police Department through Hawai‘i Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. It was initiated in the other jurisdiction because of concerns about online child exploitation.
First-degree promoting child abuse — the most serious offense — is a Class A felony with maximum penalty of a 20 years in prison.
Domingo was released on $35,000 bail. He was ordered not to have contact with any minors, in person or online.
A jury trial is scheduled for Feb. 3, 2026.
The investigation is being handled by Hawai‘i Police Department Vice West Section Detective Chandler Nacino, with Deputy Hawai‘i County Prosecuting Attorney Annaliese Wolf prosecuting the case.
“Parents and other adults who care for children in this community should remain vigilant against the dangers that can exist online and harm keiki,” said Hawai‘i County Prosecuting Attorney Kelden Waltjen in a release about Domingo’s arraignment. “Children can form relationships with predators online, or be pursued on social media, and ultimately be harmed by someone miles away behind a keyboard.”
Waltjen added that staying aware of a child’s online activity and talking regularly with them about how to stay safe online is essential.
