The County of Hawaiʻi Department of Water Supply will conduct a fire hydrant flow test along Pāwai Place from 11 p.m. to midnight on Tuesday, May 13.

North Kona customers on Pāwai Place between Luhia Street and Kuakini Highway, and between Palani Road and Loloku Street, including any side roads and lanes, will be affected.

The area may experience slightly discolored and turbid water for several hours after the test. Customers are advised to refrain from washing clothes and store a container of water for drinking needs until the water supply returns to normal.

For any unusual problems during or after the flushing period, call District Supervisors Joshule Johnston and Dustin Kaneta-ʻOgata at 808-322-0600.
