Student at Kona school allegedly threatens another student with violence involving firearm

Police are investigating after a student allegedly threatened another student at a Kona school with violence involving a firearm earlier this week.

Hawai‘i Police Department initiated a terroristic threatening investigation March 11 following alleged verbal threats involving a firearm made by a teenage girl directed toward another teenage girl at Kona Pacific Charter School in Kealakekua.

Furthermore, the suspect reportedly said the threatened act would take place at school.

Because the students involved are juveniles, their names are not being released. The teen who allegedly made the threats was not arrested.

Detectives with Hawai‘i Police Department Area II Juvenile Aid Section are continuing to investigate.
