Road closure scheduled in Kona for utility pole work

A side street in the neighborhood of Kona Palisades will be closed on Wednesday while Hawaiian Electric crews replace a utility pole.

Work will take place on Ahikawa Street from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. According to the power company, the work will require a full road closure near the intersection of Kauhale Street.

Motorists are advised to use Ahulani Street as an alternate route. Flagmen will be onsite to provide traffic control.
