Electric utility work to close one lane of highway in Hōlualoa this week
Repair work overnight Wednesday into Thursday will require the closure of one lane of Māmalahoa Highway in Hōlualoa.
Hawaiian Electric crews will be replacing a utility pole, so one lane of the highway will be closed from 10 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday.
Crews will also be in the area from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday preparing for the work; however, the lane will remain open during that time.
Flagmen will be onsite to provide traffic control.
Motorists are advised to drive with caution when approaching and passing the work zone.
