Officers with the South Kohala Community Policing Section of the Hawaiʻi Police Department invite members of the community to come talk story over a cup of coffee.

The ever popular Coffee With a Cop is back from 7 to 10 a.m. Friday at Kohala Coffee Co., located at 68-1820 Waikōloa Road, in Waikōloa Village.

It’s almost like an open house meet-and-greet style sit-down between area residents and the South Kohala police district officers who serve to protect them; an informal meeting of the minds to discuss concerns, ask questions and bring issues to the attention of community law enforcement.

The main objective of Coffee With a Cop is to build relationships — one cup at a time — between police officers and the people they serve.
