Big Island police renew request for help with finding endangered Kailua-Kona woman
Big Island police are again renewing their call for help from the public with locating an endangered Kailua-Kona woman who has been missing for more than a week.
Kunzang Yuthok, 65, was last seen the morning of Nov. 20 at Old Kona Airport Park in Kailua-Kona. Her family is deeply concerned for her well-being and is offering a cash reward for information that might lead to finding her.
Yuthok is Asian with a medium complexion, 5-foot-3, 110-pounds, with salt and pepper hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a black top and shorts, a cap and light blue running shoes.
Anyone who was surfing between 8:30 and 11 a.m. Nov. 20 at Old Kona Airport Park at surf spots Pavilions, Middles, Randoms and/or Superbowl’s is asked to contact Detective Carrie Akina with the Hawai’i Police Department Area II Criminal Investigations Section at 808-326-4646, extension 277, or via email at Carrie.Akina@hawaiicounty.gov.
