Aug. 28 update: Hawai’i Island police have located 48-year-old Tara Little of Ka’u who was previously reported as missing. She was located in the Hawaii Ocean View Estates subdivision area on Aug. 28 and is in good health.

Police would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating Little.

Original post: Big Island police are asking for the public’s help with locating 48-year-old Tara Little of Kaʻū, who was reported missing. She is considered endangered as she is in need of medication for a medical condition.

Little was last seen the afternoon of Aug. 25 in Hawaiian Ocean View Estates. She is 5-foot-6, weighs about 260 pounds, with light skin, brown hair and brown eyes. The last thing she was seen wearing was a pink colored dress and white shoes.

Anyone who might have information about Little’s whereabouts is asked to call the Hawaiʻi Police Department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311 or contact Detective Donovan Kohara at 808-960-3118 or via email at donovan.kohara@hawaiicounty.gov.

Those who prefer to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 808-961-8300.
