The U.S. Postal Service is considering the relocation of retail services at the Kailua Kona Post Office, located at 74-5577 Palani Street, to a new facility 0.3 miles away at the Niumalu Marketplace, located at 75-971 Henry Street.

The Palani Street facility would be retained as an annex for mail carrier operations only.

The purpose of the relocation is to provide better access to retail services for Kailua Kona customers and increased space for the Kailua Kona Post Office’s expanding retail operations. The new facility would be approximately 10,602 square feet and provide the same level of retail service as the current facility.
