Update on July 26 at 9:50 a.m.: Route 190 now is open. No new details were immediately available about the brush fire.

Original post: Route 190 is closed between the 20 and 21 mile markers (Puʻu Lani Ranch area) due to a brush fire on the Big Island.

Motorists are advised to use Queen Kaʻahumanu Highway as an alternate route.

No structures are being threatened at this time and updates will be provided once they become available.
