July 27 update: Hawai‘i Island police report that 16-year-old Mary Costner, who was previously reported as a runaway, was located in Hilo on July 27 in good health.

Original post: Big Island police are asking the public for help with finding a 16-year-old girl who was reported as a runaway.

The Hawai‘i Police Department says Mary Costner was last seen at about 2 p.m. July 6 on Pohakea Road in Pa‘auilo, wearing a dark-colored long-sleeve shirt and dark colored pants.

She is described as about 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing 190 pounds, and Hawaiian, with a heavy build, long black hair with autumn highlights and a nose ring.

Anyone with information about Costner’s whereabouts is asked to call the Police Department’s nonemergency line at 808-935-3311.
