Sylvia Dolena presents a free 2-day workshop, “Conscious Commerce,” on March 9 and 10.

The workshop is part of Ku‘ikahi Mediation Center’s “Teamwork, Leadership and Preparing for the New Economy” training series. It runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo, UCB 127, 200 W. Kawili Street in Hilo.

“In today’s world, entrepreneurs need to be aware of local and global environmental issues,” Dolena said.  “How can you retool or re-envision a business in our post-pandemic world?  Learn a process to go from idea to business plan for small business startups or businesses that must reinvent themselves for a new economy.”

In this 2-day workshop, learn how to:

  • Align your passion and purpose to your livelihood
  • Identify and overcome obstacles to your success
  • Create your vision and mission
  • Create a sustainable business plan
  • Envision a small carbon footprint
  • Build your success and support team
  • Propose and sell your ideas

Dolena worked for Hewlett-Packard or 18 years as a Global Programs and Operations Manager and as a Strategic Change Project Manager. Recently, she was a project manager for a Fortune 100 Company’s new Leadership Certification Program.
