Pu‘uhonua O Hōnaunau National Historical Park Accepting Applications For Summer Youth Program
Big Island youth have an opportunity this summer to work at a West Hawai‘i national park.
Pu‘uhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park is now accepting applications for its summer Youth Conservation Corps program, which offers an employment and educational experience for youngsters from 15-19 years old. Those who participate will take part in conservation- and preservation-related projects throughout the park and work with all park divisions.
This year’s Youth Conservation Corps program is scheduled for a six-week period from June 13-July 22. Participants will work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, and Saturday, June 25. Pay is $10.10 per hour.
Applications can be picked up at the park and are due no later than June 3.
