Alexander Aquino faces charges of first-degree felony unlawful imprisonment and a misdemeanor offense of persistent nonsupport as he allegedly failed to provide support to a minor whom he was legally obligated to support.

Alexander Aquino’s wife, Amy faced the same charges but entered a no contest plea on April 22 to the felony offense of first-degree unlawful imprisonment. Her sentencing is scheduled for July 1.

Prosecutors are free to argue for the maximum penalty in accordance with the agreement which contemplates the dismissal of the misdemeanor offense following Amy Aquino’s sentencing.

Both Alexander and Amy Aquino, who were granted supervised release over the prosecutors’ objections, remain on supervised release pending their upcoming court dates.
