Police Renew Request For Assistance With Finding Woman Missing Since 2011

Big Island police are again asking for the public’s help with finding a North Kona woman who has been missing for nearly 11 years.

According to a media release from the Hawai‘i Police Department, 42-year-old Naomi Sanders was last seen leaving her Kainaliu home the night of June 6, 2011.

She is described as 5 feet, 3 inches tall, 120 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. She has a tribal print tattoo on her upper right arm in the shape of an armband.

Anyone who might have seen her or who could have information about this case is asked to call Detective Carrie Akina of the Area II Criminal Investigation Section at 808-326-4646, ext. 277, or contact Akina via email carrie.akina@hawaiicounty.gov.
