154 New COVID Cases Reported Statewide
The state Department of Health reported 154 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the statewide total to 237,672. No new fatalities were reported.
A total of eight new infections were identified Wednesday on the Big Island. On Tuesday, Civil Defense reports 326 active cases, and four persons hospitalized.
Community testing is scheduled today in South Kona at Yano Hall from 7 to 8 a.m. and in North Kona at Old Kona Airport Pavilion from 3 to 7 p.m.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 164,664
Hawaiʻi: 25,982
Maui: 28,100
Kaua‘i: 11,532
Moloka‘i: 938
Lana‘i: 628
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 5,828
Of those total cases, 8,384 required hospitalization with 57 currently hospitalized. At least 1,354 have died since the pandemic began. Hospitalization data is updated Monday through Friday, except on state and federal holidays.
