Benanua Named QNHCH Employee of The Year

Linda Benanua

Queen’s North Hawai‘i Community Hospital in Waimea recently honored a long-time employee with a special award.

Congratulations are in order for Emergency Room tech Linda Benanua, who was selected as QNHCH’s 2021 Employee of the Year.

“Linda is an extremely hard worker and we are grateful to have her as part of the QNHCH team,” said hospital President Cindy Kamikawa. “We thank Linda for all of her hard work and for making our ER a better place to be for both our patients and our employees.”

Benanua has worked at the Waimea hospital since 2007 and was honored for her hard work, caring and positive attitude and her ability to always get the job done, according to a press release. Her co-workers say she is a “bright light in the department” and that “things run more efficiently when Linda is working!”

Also honored during the recent virtual ceremony were 2021 Employees of the Quarter Vin Dalisay in Rehabilitation Services, Caroline Makio from the Women’s Center and Kylee Stone in the Imaging Department.
