11 Deaths, 740 New COVID Cases Reported Saturday

The state Department of Health reported 740 new COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the statewide total to 230,978. Eleven new fatalities were reported.

A total of 86 new infections were identified Saturday on the Big Island. The Civil Defense reports 1,957 active cases, and 25 persons hospitalized.

Today, Saturday, community testing is scheduled at Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium, Waimea District Park, and Old Kona Airport Pavilion. All events are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A total of 7,861 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,258 have died.
